In addition to this, the Group is represented in the tyre, lubricants and car service, real estate, construction and advertising industries. Wissol Group is currently engaged in the development of supermarket chain in Georgia under brand Smart.
In April, 2012 Wendy’s, one of the world’s largest quick-service hamburger companies, announced an agreement with Wissol Group to develop 25 restaurants in Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan over the next 10 years. Wendy’s restaurants soon will appear in Tbilisi Rustaveli Ave and other regions of the whole country.
Wendy’s is the world-famous international brand whose values and approach to business truly coincide with our own, thus we believe that adding Wendy’s franchise to our holding will once again amplify our core value: Superior Quality (translated into our slogan: Quality I trust).
It is our wish to provide Georgian customers with the best experience in nutrition industry by introducing the world leader to the local market and proudly continuing Wendy’s legacy.
Wendy’s began as the dream of Dave Thomas, founder of “Wendy’s Dad”. He wanted to build a better hamburger.
Dave opened the first Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers restaurant in November 1969 in Columbus, Ohio. He named the restaurant after one of his daughters, 8-year-old Wendy. Known for high quality, great tasting food, Wendy’s quickly grew into a franchise of several thousand restaurants and now serves products people love all around the world. Dave’s words, “We don’t cut corners on quality” affect everything from our hamburgers to our customer service. At Wendy’s, we honor his legacy every day because we believe that Quality is Our Recipe.
Quality meant everything to Dave. His passion was so strong that he made “Quality Is Our Recipe” a permanent part of Wendy’s logo.
Dave lived his life with honesty and integrity. He was a man of his word, and he believed that if you say you’re going to do something, do it. He considered personal integrity to be the most important value one can have. Doing the right thing is the best choice - you earn your reputation by the things you do every day.
Dave lived by the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. He simplified this by saying, Just Be Nice. He knew that if you treat people with respect and dignity they are more likely to accept what you have to say. Being nice also means being a good listener. It’s a sign of respect, and you’ll learn more by listening, he would always say.
There’s nothing wrong with making a profit and taking pride in your success. To Dave, profit in business meant growth and opportunities. When you take care of your business -- through hard work, a focus on quality and taking care of your customers – your business will take care of you.
Dave believed everyone has a responsibility to give something back -- to help those who can’t help themselves. Giving back doesn’t simply mean giving money to charities. It also means giving your time or sharing your special skills.
Dave Thomas was adopted as a child and became a national adoption advocate, generating awareness for the thousands of waiting children nationwide. In Dave’s words, “Every child deserves a permanent home and a loving family.”
In 1992, Dave established the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, which is dedicated to finding homes for children who are waiting to be adopted from foster care. No one had a greater passion for adoption or brought greater awareness for the cause than Dave. http://www.davethomasfoundation.org/what-we-do/wendys-wonderful-kids/
Wissol Group and Wendy’s Georgia continue Dave’s legacy. Our existing values closely resemble Dave Thomas’s approach to business and life in general:
Quality I trust
Quality is our recipe
Quest for development and innovation
Do the right thing
Being responsible for the better future
Give something back
Dave’s legacy lives on as Wissol Group together with Wendy’s Georgia continue to contribute to Georgian society, by communicating and implementing our shared values day by day. In addition to these core values that run as a leitmotiv and a driver to everything we do every day, Wissol Group also has a long history of donating to charity, namely Iavnana Foundation whose main mission is helping children deprived of parental care to improve their social conditions.
